Hello! Could someone confirm the ID of these 2 birds please. I am thinking Greenfinch and Linnet? Many thanks.

Hello,

do the first two pictures show the same bird?
First picture is a female/juvenile Chaffinch. I struggle to find reasons, but appearant colouration (including a just paler=greyer shawl), impression of the face and shape of the all dark bill fits this species.
Second picture might well be a (the same?) Chaffinch, but I find the colors different. Hence my question.

Third and fourth pictures shows a male Linnet, I agree with you. Unique colouration, including an uniform chestnut-brown mantle and a white primary flesh is visible.

Hello again,
after looking at the first picture again (and got some kind of an House Sparrow vibe), I noticed the tail with white edgings and the right whitish/blackish pattern for a Chaffinch. Further confirmation of a Chaffinch.

Hi Alexander and thanks for your thoughts. Yes the first 2 are the same bird - and I agree with you - on further review I think it is a Chaffinch as well. Just a strange angle :) And thank you for the Linnet confirmation. Many thanks.
