Hi all,

been lurking here over the years when attempting to get into birding and looking for binocular advice.
Living close to nature I've been hiking & foraging all my life, as well as dabbling with photography the past 10 years.
Recently bought a dog and will spend yet more time in the Swedish forests so thought I'd try to add birding to my repertoire too :)

Currently have a Nikon Monarch 5 8x42 & and my most recent purchase, a Vortex Solo 8x36 which I hope will last me a long time.

Hope to be able to learn more about birds & birding as well as sharing a few wildlife photos from time to time.
Really glad to be here and hopefully getting involved in this great community!

Hi Damienz and a warm welcome to you from all the Staff and Moderators. I'll look forward to seeing some of your pictures in the Gallery too.

I'm sure you will enjoy it here and I look forward to hearing your news.

Hi, welcome to the forum. I think you will find us a friendly and helpful group.

Hi there Damienz and a warm welcome to you! (y)
We're glad you found us and please join in wherever you like. ;)
Thanks a ton (to all of you) but I will not spam this thread with 5 replies ;)
Slowly started to post some of my wildlife photos, there's more to come but I'll spread them out nicely the coming weeks.

Just wanted to let you know that there is a gallery limit on uploads of photos which is 3 in a 24 hour period ;)

Hehe, nice to know! I had no idea about that but on other more photography-wise forums I always limit myself to max 3 per day / week, otherwise it just turns into spam :)
