Yes you can although only some cabins are pet friendly and there is an extra charge for those. My friend and I had an outside cabin both ways. Getting to Shetland is rather expensive if you have a cabin but it is of course a considerable distance and the journey is overnight both ways so we both felt it was worth it. We slept very well on the journey north though less well on the return due a rolling following sea.Unless you can book cabins on the Shetland ferry🤔
Cheers Andrea. Not a great picture as you said. We’ve got Outer Hebs booked for next year again so it’s going to be a while before I get anywhere near the Shetlands.Yes you can although only some cabins are pet friendly and there is an extra charge for those. - though I have to say the photo at the top of the page wouldn't encourage me if I were a dog owner!
That’s great stuff. Thanks for that. Both Garbh Bheinn and Ben Resipol have Ptarmigan.
The lighthouse cafe shuts over winter and doesn't open till Easter, it's caught me out a few times!Day 5
Another quiet day. Stayed on Ardnamurchan. Headed down to the Lighthouse. Have had nice coffee there in the past but closed today. At Kilchoan we had some very good views of a couple of GND’s but other than a few Mergansers very little else.
A shame that John. 2 cracking Border Collies when I was there last as well. The Puffin Cafe was open at Kilchoan and that does decent coffee thoughThe lighthouse cafe shuts over winter and doesn't open till Easter, it's caught me out a few times!
