I'm planning a few days in the Snowdonia area at the end of the month.

Does anyone have any recomemndations for good birding localities at this time of year ? Black Grouse would be nice.

Regards
Robin

Gwydyr Forest

A bit late now I suppose but here's where you can see them.B :)

You may see Black Grouse in the Gwydyr south and Tyn y Cwm woodlands. These areas are the younger parts of the forest where moorland meet trees and are the habitats favoured by the grouse.

A old haunt of Black grouse was on the Rhinog bach by Harlech. Ive lived in the same valley for 10 years but never seen it. My geography teacher said he saw a fisherman at Llyn Hywel get attacked by black grouse!
