A friend has sent me his pictures of a noticibly dark backed gull. Very gloomy but we both thought possibly a 3rd year yellow-legged gull. Smaller, more white headed and darker than the herring gull it was associating with so presumably a male. Always a danger of hybrids here so wanted other more experienced opinions.
