Hi all,

Can I check as I am learning too!

Is it second summer, and would that be 3cy?

If it is it does not have the white window on the end projection - is this because it is early in the year and it is still moulting?

I believe 2nd summer/3rd calendar year are interchangeable.

This link http://www.gull-research.org/lbbg/lbbg3cyd/3cyoctpic24.html shows an example, later in the year, with P10 starting to grow.

I am liking Gulls of the World, in conjunction with Gulls by Olsen/Larsson, together with the site kindly linked by HouseCrow in your other thread Julie: sometimes lots of pictures to show the great variation will be useful I think. This is going to be a long process to get right for me I think!
