Hi All,

Happy new year to everyone :)

I still cannot identify gulls in the UK very well so please assist with this one. Taken in RSPB Old Moor in August. I am not sure if this is Herring or Lesser Black-backed (leaning towards LBB) so would appreciate your advice and also what it is that makes you think the way you do .. including what summer/winder age you think this may be ... thanks :)

Herring Gull can be eliminated by the dark grey mantle. It's a LBB Gull, I think 2nd summer.

Thanks for the help ... could I ask for help one one more bird please ... this was taken at Elmley NNR in Kent in U.K. and I thought it to be a Sky Lark, but could it maybe be a Meadow Pipit or something else?
