armenicus should be a major rarity in the northern aegean. a bird with such a long bill is hardly an armenian gull.
extensive black on bill is commonly found in 2 cycle micha.
a bolder double anchor would be typical for micha, like here (upper bird): http://www.lou.bertalan.de/gulls/pic/vh/up_0886.jpg , but: which bird is really typical...? i meant that apart from the median transversal band which is accentuated in your bird's scaps it should also have bold dark subterminal bands (around the tip of the feather), typically narrow e.g. in caspian gull. but scaps are very variable in all taxons. and if there is little to go on (like no replaced coverts, dubious shape of bill and body, head striation etc) i try to go on scap pattern. all in all the bird looks like a micha with its smudge around eye and the long, blackish primaries.
Very good record of Glaucous gull » Larus hyperboreus. This is the second record after 1874. The observer is Murat Saltık, he took this photo form Rize / Turkey on 12.12.2014.

Hi folks, had this interesting looking gull today. Very Iceland Gull like structurally( short legs, domed head, small bill etc) with large white primary tips and a very white underside to the primaries. A small argentatus perhaps or some Northern hybrid maybe?
