A bit of a breezy morning watch low heavy cloud didn't help with fly overs only really wood pigeons and crows a small flock of mixed large gulls mainly LBBG but at least 2 Herring Gulls in with them.
On the feeders Nuthatch very busy, House sparrows feeding and taking nesting material from one of the feeders (old suet ball feeder with cotton wool and thin storks inside it)
Will be visiting Martin Mere WWT next Sat 14 / 03 / 20 looking to see Bean Goose & Lesser White Fronted Goose among others.
Starting from Halesowen bus station at 05.55am Train from New Street to Burscough Bridge changing at Wigan arriving around 10.00am

06.35am - 08.15am Cloudy with lighter cloud moving across chilly wind
This was the best garden watch of the year with man birds moving around and the garden full of small birds.
Todays complete list garden and fly overs-
Magpie, Blue tit, Wood pigeon, Lesser black backed gull, Redwing (12), Wren, Blackbird, Goldfinch, Herring gull (1), Pheasant, House sparrow, Feral pigeon, Carrion crow, Long tailed tit, Jackdaw, Great tit, Chaffinch, Bullfinch, Dunnock, Linnet, Black headed gull, Siskin, Robin, Coal tit, Song thrush, Sparrowhawk, Great spotted woodpecker, Fieldfare, Grey heron, Nuthatch, Greenfinch, Mallard, Starling & Buzzard

I will be keeping up the garden watch during these times and will even be updating from local walks these will include Lutley Wedge / Mere's Fields (for the older people who remember them) / Wassell Grove and Oldnall lane.
Will now commence the redesigning of the back garden but will not be touching any areas being used by birds for nest material or nesting.
So why not put your own garden sightings on here or even start a new thread on here so people can see what you have in your gardens.

A great morning today with the following highlights -
Buzzard, Greylag goose x8, Canada goose x5, Chiffchaff, Blackcap (m), along with all my usual suspects
A report from a friend of 2 swans with a bit of yellow on the beaks if anyone else has any information about this pair would like to pass it on.
Seen Back of Cradley Town Football Club around 15.00pm yeasterday 01/04/2020

A great mornings birding with a few garden ticks today
Highlights -
Sand Martin x5, Cormorant x2. Goldcrest, Ring necked parakeet x2, Skylark x1, Meadow pipit x3, Greylag goose x7, Sparrowhawk & Willow warbler
Garden list now on 64
Going well and the refurbishment of the garden starting tomorrow so more time to watch the skies
Hope you are all staying safe and please remember there my be someone close to you that could do with someone to talk to if it's on the phone or through a window just take care and we'll get through this together.

Yellowhammer male, Blackcap male, Blue tits chasing around the garden, Linnets in the top of the trees at the bacjk , Sparrowhawk hunting around, 5 Greylag geese mobile, Chiichaff again mobile, Song & Mistle thrushes moving throughtthe trees at the back.
Birds heard but not seen today -
Whitethroat (also heard yesterday), Willow warbler, Heron, Pheasant, LBBG, Buzzard

A very large bird of prey was seen the bird was not a Buzzard or Osprey
I am waiting for a identification to come through but if anyone else sees a similar bird could they please let us know will update with more information when I get some.
COMMON TERN over 12 / 04 / 2020 first for the year, many Sand Martins over, Skylarks now seen daily, found the Whitethroat 14 / 04 / 2020 plenty of Willow Warblers in the trees at the bottom of the garden

2 NEW ticks for the garden list this morning 4x EGYPTIAN GOOSE & 1X HOUSE MARTIN over the garden
Numbers of the birds in the garden now declining as they are nesting but species still roughly the same.
Hardly getting any GULL movement these days the odd LBBG and Herring gull over not like the movement earlier in the year will now have to wait till September to see numbers improve again.
