Had some decent views of a Firecrest close to the New Forest reptile centre. It was in the pines outside the centre.

I'm possibly going to be in the New Forest area over the weekend and wondered if there had been any honey buzzard sightings from the well known watch point yet this year?

Honey Buzzards have been seen. This weekend looks a good bet for sightings, fingers crossed.

A good selection of birds are within the harbour at the moment.
Most raptors except Hen Harrier. The weather makes their hunting more intense.
All the grebes except slavonian, Chichester's the best bet.
Great Northern and rarer Red throated in around the entrance along with a Shag.
A Great White Egret was briefly at the Kench, could still be around somewhere.
Black brant and Light Bellied Brent has been on Farlington for over a month. A White Front has been an infrequent visitor.
Both herring gull species, Little, yellow-legged and Iceland at Southsea or by beachland on Hayling. Good numbers of other gull too. Along with a couple of odd hybrids. Southmoor at low-tide might be the best site.
Avocets and the usual waders, good numbers of Dunlin, and more Knot than usual, Spotted Redshank and still a Curlew Sandpiper by The Ship, along with a female Goosander and very active Kingfisher. Not the volume of duck as usually expected, sea duck have been sporadic with Common Scoter and a couple of Eider.
The weather has played havoc with the sightings of smaller birds, but they are there....just.

They're pretty widespread really. But Slufters Inclosure would be a good place to look, or Knightwood Inclosure, or Highland Water
