Harrington Airfield tips needed (1 Viewer)

I am thinking of checking out Harrington Airfields to try and catch up with the Great Grey Shrike, plus seeing the other birds around the area. I have never been and there doesn't seem to be much information about how to cover the area. Can anyone suggest where to park, where to cover etc..

Thanks,

Tom

It's a while since I've been there but I suspect you still park at the start of the track along the minor road just east of Draughton (heading towards the B576). The track runs north and most people bird from along it (or they used to anyway!). The most recent report of GG Shrike is 25th October, so I wonder if it's still there.

You might also like to visit Blueberry Lodge near Maidwell, where there have been good numbers of Short-eared Owls recently.
