I've observed the latter stripping (hawthorn berries e.g. in early Autumn on an "industrial scale" that leaves no feed for Wintering thrushes/finches etc at forest edge...thus forcing the latter into open areas where "isolated clumps" are easier to predate by Sprawks e.g. For me GS is a dirty word that needs addressing at national level. cheers</blockquote>
