Hello,
I would love to have your input on what hawk-cuckoo species the could be. The complex Dark vs. Large Hawk-Cuckoo has me especially stumped.

Thanks in advance!

Dark Hawk-cuckoo Eildert on account of combination of uniform dark upperparts and 'dumpy' build. In any case, odds of Large at this time of year so far south are extremely unlikely since it is a winter visitor.

Great, thank you, Grahame. eBird's bar charts for Fraser's Hill do show sightings of Large Hawk-Cuckoo in June, July, and August, but presumably then these are misidentifications given what you say about the migratory status of the species.
