Hawk ID, Toronto Area (1 Viewer)

Great. Thanks. This is only the second time I've seen a hawk in my backyard since I moved to this house six years ago. Last time it was perched on the fence observing sparrows at the feeder. Of course, the sparrows scattered except one, who decided to stay still on the other side of the feeder out of view. Was hilarious to watch.

The other two times at home was through the bay window in the front. First time hawk was successful in swooping down and taking a sparrow at the feeder. Second time it missed.

It's always exciting to see a hawk in one's yard!

Feel free to come back to the forum with any further identification questions.
