I did not have them extended all the way when I tried them this last time. I was having a hard time with them and decided to make sure they were all the way out - and sure enough they were not. Once they were extended all the way I was no longer having the issues. And when comparing they to the 8x I did not notice too much of a difference in regards to that. Or none? Its hard to say for sure. You're standing there at the mall with two bins peering out the mall with the salesguy breathing down your neck making sure you do not run away with them (don't blame him) but it makes it a bit difficult to take your time, for me anyways.</blockquote>
