My name is Debi Turney. I live in North County San Diego.. I'm soon to be 66. A retired educator. Last year I graduated with a second Master's in biology/conservation. At the moment I am turning our old avocado grove into a partly native food forest using techniques in permaculture. I am eager to learn more about natural methods to invite birds and insects into the yard. I've planted a number of endangered trees so far: Englemann oak, Torrey pine, and Tecate cypress, as well as many native shrubs and plants. I'm excited to participate in this group!
