David from San Diego. Retired teacher and computer programmer. Ardent bird watcher, photographer, hiker, and animal lover including what some people feel are creepy crawlies like insects, spiders, reptiles. We have six feeders and two bird baths in our back yard.

I've loved photography for years and am especially interested in photographing birds, reptiles, and insects. Got my first DSLR, a Nikon D5100, about 5 years ago. Current daily-use camera is a Nikon D7200 with my walk-around Nikon 18-300 DX lens. Hope to get a prime 300mm lens by years end, with a possible tele-converter.

San Diego is a birder's paradise with many species and places to see and photograph them. Glad to have discovered this forum and happy birding all!
