I’m a retired physician who loves birds and wildlife photography. I'm planning a trip to Australia this fall. I would appreciate any recommendations for birding sites/birding guides and tours. I plan to visit Sydney, Melbourne, Tasmania and Perth. Thanks everyone!
Hi adc and a warm welcome from me too. I can only help you with the Perth part; we have an excellent Opus article for the city and area around which has been written by a member: Perth area - BirdForum Opus. Another member recently moved to Sydney and is writing at patch thread - I'll go and look for it for you.

I'm sure you will enjoy it here and I hope to hear about all the birds you see when out and about.
Hi, welcome to the forum. I think you will find us a friendly and helpful group.
