Hi everyone,

I'm originally from south Texas (RGV for those who know that area) but I moved last year to east Canada (Fredericton NB), between settling and many other things I haven't had proper time to journal the nature exploration of the area. So far this is my first winter here and right off the bat I'm really surprised of the many birds that didn't migrate south, I was expecting a birdless area I guess .

I'll be browsing through the threads for tricks and tips. I need help identifying a rodent (possibly an american red squirrel) and I think it should go in the mammals thread.

Have a nice week,
-Alex

Hi Alex and a warm welcome to you from all the Staff and Moderators. Yes, the Mammals sounds to be the best subforum for your ID question. This is a big forum, so if you need any help finding your way around, please don't be afraid to ask.

I'm sure you will enjoy it here and I look forward to hearing your news.
