I am a casual birder who found this forum searching for digiscoping information. My birding journey started only a few years ago, when I bought my wife some birdfeeder supplies during the pandemic. After outsmarting the squirrels, and with the help of the amazing Merlin iphone app, we began discovering the different birds in our neighborhood. This led to the purchase of a spotting scope and tripod. This spring we had a red-breasted sapsuckers nesting in an oak tree in our backyard. I was able to take some pretty good photos using the spotting scope and my iphone (see attached). I will be asking for some help in the digiscoping forum as I try to use my Celestron scope with a Canon Eos M camera.
