I've been birding for quite a while, well over 20 years anyway. Not as much the last 4 years due to health issues but I am starting to get out there more recently. I use to take a lot of photographs also but work interfered with that for about 7 years. I am going to dust off my cameras and lenses and get back into that also. I have a couple of crop sensor DSLRs. Don't think I will go mirrorless but am considering acquiring a D850. I just received a new pair of Minox X-HD 10 X 44 binoculars today to complement an older pair of Leica Ultravids that are still great I think. Did not want to go $2000+ again. Will be commenting on the new pair in the near future.

Welcome back to birding and photography! It's cool that you're getting back into it after dealing with health issues. Revisiting your cameras sounds like a good idea. The D850 could be a worthwhile upgrade with its features. Your new Minox binoculars seem like a nice addition without breaking the bank. Looking forward to your thoughts on them soon!

Hi, welcome to the forum on behalf of the staff and moderators. I think you will find us a friendly and helpful group.
I am happy your health is better and you are able to go out birding again.

Hi Rey and a warm welcome from me too.

I'm sure you will enjoy it here and I hope to hear about all the birds you see when out and about.
