Never too late too learn. As I approach retirement, I have become a new birdwatcher - we have stayed a number of years on the North Norfolk coast and hence always enjoyed Titchwell and, this year, Snettisham too. I have been making the most of bird reserves nearer to home and plan to do it a lot more. I've got myself some really good binoculars but realise I need a scope to see wading birds clearly enough at 100m or more. So, i found this forum as I was looking for some product reviews and recommendations, having also looked at some kit whilst away on holiday. I also enjoy photography and want my scope to work well with my micro four thirds camera set up. So - I have a few ideas and will be posting some specific questions in the correct sub-forums. Nice to meet you all, from what I've seen so far, birders are a lovely bunch of people.

Hi Singlereed and welcome to BirdForum. I’m looking forward (hopefully) to returning to North Norfolk In November. Superb place.
