Hello every one! I am Lisa and live in Silicon Valley. My husband and I love birding. Our favorite place for bird watch was Klamath Falls OR until we visited Palm Desert last week. Didn’t realize there are so many birds in the desert there. We saw many new birds including burrowing owls, Gambel’s quails, cactus wrens, phainopepla, verdins and before we left this morning we spotted several vermillion flycatchers. Some of these were right at the resort where we stayed. Also flocks of ibis, egrets and snow geese at Sonny Bono Wildlife Refuge at Salton Sea. Will return for sure. Looking forward to learning more about birds from you all.
