Hello from the UP of Michigan (1 Viewer)

I am a great grandmother (hence the GGma title) who lives in the UP of Michigan which is bounded on the north by Lake Superior. I love to feed the birds and am anxiously waiting for our hummingbirds to arrive. My granddaughter gave me an Audubon calendar with a different bird picture for everyday as she knows how much I love birds. She lives in Washington D.C. so each morning I research the Bird of the Day and send her a message about it. It's a fun way to stay in touch. I look forward to seeing what appears on this site as I have never done something like this before.

Welcome to Birdforum! I am sure that you will find lots to interest you here and I hope you enjoy your visits.

Hi there and a warm welcome to you from those of us on staff here at BirdForum (y)

Hi GGma and a warm welcome from me too.

For a bit of added interest and an addition to your Bird of the Day project; we have a Bird of the Month featured on our Opus Home Page. As you will see, this month the bird covered is the Common Eider.

I'm sure you will enjoy it here and I hope to hear about all the birds you see when out and about.

Welcome! For those not in the know, the UP of Michigan is the Upper Peninsula; it is separated from the Lower Peninsula by the Straits of Mackinac.

Stay safe,
Arthur
