Hello all, I wonder if anyone can identify this bird call please? Merlin App couldn't suggest anything, although there are other birds in the background.

I recorded it in a forest yesterday near Dawlish in Devon (UK) if that helps at all.

Hi Andy and a warm welcome to you from all the Staff and Moderators. "If you're in woodland and hear a call you don't recognise, it's a Great Tit" LOL. Had that said quite a few times on here. As Jogresh says, they really have a wide variety of calls, so he's very likely to be right.

Another vote for great tit from me. Good quality recording, by the way.
Merlin generally prefers songs to calls but is steadily improving.
