Hello to all - and what is the bird please? (1 Viewer)

Good morning
I am new to this forum although have been registered on the BTO site for many years.
Living in a rural area, our garden continues to surprise me with its bird types. They are so diverse and variable.
At present we have a blackbird nesting in our outhouse, on top of our bamboo canes, this is the second year. So far she has had 3 broodes.

Yesterday, 2 juveniles were in my fruit cage, but I had difficulty recognising them...maybe someone can help?? (picture attached)

We also had a very friendly youngster, who joined our bbq!!! Think it was a jackdaw??

Look forward to joining in further threads.

Hi Cowpat and a warm welcome to you from all the Staff and Moderators.

It appears you live in a lovely area and have a great garden for birds too.

Nice pictures these - indeed that first one is a Jackdaw. The one on the cage looks like a juvenile Starling.

I'm sure you will enjoy it here and I look forward to hearing your news.

Thanks for your response.
The bird in our fruit cage (there were two!!) is to small for a starling and indeed we dont have any around here.
The photo is not that great, apologies.

Hi Cowpat1 and welcome to BirdForum. I think your bird is a young warbler. I’ll move your thread to see you f we can get a definitive answer.
