A quick update on what's what on these books.

Sunbirds of the World (2nd edition) – publishing June 2025
Pittas, Broadbills and Asities (2nd edition) - publishing July 2025
Nightjars of the World - (probably) publishing November 2025

All three books are submitted and are currently passing through the production process! A big year for Helm in 2025.

Oh wow, that's smashing! Thanks for sharing. I think my former boss (who commissioned the first edition back in the 90s) also has one of these plates hanging up somewhere in his house. Jim.
Thanks Jim. Barbara (Martins wife) framed it for me whilst I was staying with friends next door at Wiveton, Norfolk. The species shown in the original are TOP 6: Elegant Pitta. BOTTOM 2: Black-faced Pitta.
