Jamaica bay raptor of sort's.very fast bird,spotted it messing with a great egret.any help is appreciated

I worked on alot of the buildings in n.y,empire state,chanjn,etc.we use to watch them dive bomb the pigeons off the metlife building.they would leave the headless pigeons on the 72 floor setbacks on the empire.

Hello,

There is a nesting pair on the New York Hospital, Cornell University building on East 72nd St. There was a pair at 55 Water Street. some years back, I saw a pair on a building across the street from me. They have large territories.
