Help ID this bird from Nuestra Tierra Reserve wildlife camera in Ecuador Andean Choco Cloudforest (1 Viewer)

Hi folks,

We are an Ecuador-based grassroots conservation NGO called Nuestra Tierra Aldea Creativa working to conserve a tract of primary cloudforest under threat. Our wildlife camera captured this bird, along with an Andean Spectacled Bear full video here.
So far, we have not been able to ID the bird, we're hoping someone here can help, although the footage isn't great. Any animals we ID can help us push conservation efforts of this key biodiversity area where there are numerous endemic and endangered bird species. If you wish to learn more or support our work (apart from helping us ID the bird), visit us at nuestratierra.community

In case it helps, here is the location of the wildlife camera. Don't be fooled by the Google Maps images, this area is tropical montane cloudforest.
Thank you in advance!

It is not the most user-friendly place to show a video, it is very difficult to scroll back and forth. Can you confirm that the bird seems to have relatively long yellowish legs and a relatively long tail that at least in one of the frames seem to be barred in whitish and dark?

Thanks for pointing this out! I've uploaded the video to Youtube, hopefully that's more user friendly:
Yes, the bird seems to have long yellowish legs, long barred tail.

Tail is too long for an Antpitta or Antthrush. I don't know that I can see enough detail to make any good suggestions though. The way it runs on the ground is a bit peculiar and that + the long barred tail rule out a lot of possibilities. Barred Forest-Falcon is the best fit I can think of at the moment w/ those legs and that tail and that shape. It almost looks like some pale is visible on / around the face while the bird is still.

Thanks for your prompt response! I agree, it looks a lot like a Barred Forest Falcon, although it might also be a Plumbeous Forest-Falcon (Micrastur plumbeus).

Are forest falcons likely to run? if so, that might explain why it looks so weird for those we usually think of as running on the ground.

It's a Forest Falcon of some species (the head in profile shows the classic short and blunt bill shape of a raptor and it sports long yellow legs and long graduated tail with apical black and wihte spots typical of the genus), but i don't know which one...
It's incredible to see it running like a thrush or a Roadrunner on the forest floor, but many species are shy and not well known, biologically speaking! :))
