Saw this yesterday while birdwatching and i am not an expert on dragonflys and would appreciate any help with ID

I would think it's a female Common Darter as it has plain wings and striped legs (and very few antenodal crossveins) and female appendages but... there are some features like the thorax and the eyes we can't see :)
