Herring? (1 Viewer)


Pretty sure this is a herring. Just checking as he was all on his own amongst hundreds of kittiwakes, guillemots and razorbills, which seemed a little strange for a herring.

Hello George,
yes you are right with Herring Gull. Yes, id of large Gulls is hard and very often one for the real experts, but quite short, pinkish legs, pale eye with the right head-bill profile, everything is there for the default grey mantled Gull in Britain (I assume location).
