I've always had some interest in birds, from being in the young ornithologists club many (many) years ago, but having had this love relit during lockdown while sitting in my garden last summer just watching and listening to all the birds around. So this year I decided to build myself a video birdbox, and it worked! (streaming 24x7 here http://twitch.tv/chewie2451 (I hope I'm allowed to post links)) and currently has a nesting pair of Great Tits.
I found this forum while looking around for information on Great Tits (I'm especially interested in what the male is always off doing while the female builds the nest, lays her eggs and sits there - I mean, where does the male even go to sleep at night?) anyway, I think we are on day 2 or 3 of laying and they both seem happy so far. So, yeah, Hello! and happy bird watching all.
