Let's face it, a hide really is no place for a kid. Even for us birders hides would be pretty rubbish if you didn't have bins and/or scope, and kids have neither those nor a half decent attention span. When I was young I would have been bored rigid. A multimedia centre to 'trap' non-birders would be better for all concerned I reckon.</blockquote>
