While birding a mountain road in Baise, Guangxi, China, I recorded the following clips of a repeated whistle sound. As you can hear, the whistle seemed to vary from a single note repeated (first section of the recording), to a more varied back and forth or three-part whistle (2nd and 3rd section).
The bird was located at about 550m near the top of a hill/mountain covered by forest with little human activity.
The three clips in the recording were taken over a period of about eight minutes, so the bird clearly was vocalizing for an extended time.
Any help would be appreciated!
Mike
