One looked considerably smaller than the other, thought this may be because they were at different heights but the smaller one then went for the larger. Based on their silhoeuttes both definitely Hobbies and not Merlin, although the smaller one was probably approaching (male) Merlin in size. I know there is size differentiation in male and female falcons - probably most pronounced in Peregrine but never really noticed this in Hobbies,  also all the fledged jov Hobbies seem to immediately approach the adults in size.Anyone noticed marked size difference in Hobbies before?</blockquote>
