And so to today.Cold & glowering again this afternoon (and more promised for the near future) so it was great to have my outing brightened by.....a Stoat!Once or twice a year is the order for these elusive little predators - I've seen them roundabout here before - so they're obviously resident - but where do they hangout?Anyway, this little fella (or maybe she was a she - sex a Stoat anyone?) came bounding along the lane to  within a few yards of where I stood. It stopped, looked, and hopped under the hedge and into the field - ran past the gate and on. I looked over and watched it go - into the ditch at field edge for a few yards - then back through the hedge - and I lost it.So, soon after this, having done some Hobby searching, suddenly there was one heading directly my way! Excellent views for a couple of minutes as it (she, if pressed, I'd guess) headed overhead and away to the east - straight over my garden - one for the list had I been there! And that was it as I shivered in the cold - thermal vest still in place - should've worn my gloves.</blockquote>
