Houston birds-where did they go? (1 Viewer)

Howdy from Houston. I just joined mainly because over the last few days, I haven't seen any birds at my bird feeders. Does anyone know where they went/are? Is it too hot? Are they quarantining due to COVID-19?

Hi MGMBwatcher and a warm welcome to you from all the Staff and Moderators.

It's not easy to say where your birds are just now, but it's quite likely they've dispersed post breeding and are out in the wider countryside, feeding up on the seeds and fruits of summer. They'll be back to your feeders as the natural bounty dries up, I'm sure.

I'm sure you will enjoy it here and I look forward to hearing your news.

Hi MGMBwatcher and a warm welcome to you from me in Myrtle Beach ;)

With the warmer weather, there is more natural food around for the birds such as insects, fruit etc so I wouldn't be too concerned about the lower rate of birds at your feeders.
