How do I add an avatar picture? (1 Viewer)

I could not find a forum about the website navigation, so I am posting this here.

Where do you go to add a profile pic / avatar? I've checked everywhere in all the settings and do not see an option to assign a gallery photo as an avatar.

There are a few, short lived minor restrictions for new members. See below:

New Member Restrictions

In an attempt to prevent certain abuses of our site, new members have a handful of minor restrictions placed upon them until they have made 10 forum posts (gallery comments do not count) AND have been a member of the site for 5 days. The following minor restrictions apply to new members who have not qualified with the above criteria:

Creating a Signature
Uploading an Avatar
Creating a Blog
Editing the Opus
Creating a 'For Sale' thread
Voting in polls.

In addition to the information KC has given you, most of the things you need to know can be accessed from the *?* tab at the top of your screen.

I'm sure the time will soon pass for you and you'll no longer be classed as a 'new' member.

You have to have at least 10 posts, and 5 days on Birdforum

Well, still can't find where to upload an avatar. I have met all the above requirements. Never had such difficulty using a forum. Lol

On the upper right hand corner of every page there is a link called "User Control Panel" on the dark green band going across the page. Click on that and on the new page, to the left hand side, there will be an option called "edit avatar" You'll need to stay within the size guidelines. If you become a contributor at some point in time you will be able to increase the size of your avatar. Hope this helps.
