Had a lovely day out today. Gorgeous weather and revisiting a few sites that I used to virtually live at in the 80's when I first started birding properly. It's amazing just how many changes there have been :eek!: Sadly the Wallsend Swallow Pond is nothing but a glorified park nowadays and despite there being a notice saying it's a nature reserve and could dog owners please keep their dogs on the lead (for the whole 200yds it takes to pass through it!) NOBODY took any notice of it!!! :C Perhaps folks are just too stupid, selfish and ignorant to read these days

Don't get me started on dogs, etc! Anyway, I'm up to 166 with my latest being a hobby at RSPB Pulborough down in Sussex.

Up till Arctic, those ar ebirds that are not by any means guarenteed for me in a year. All but the King Eider have been at the Loch of Strathbeg.

Only two new birds today, despite migration being in full swing. However, the two are good birds for this area: a vagrant loon and hard-to-get warbler. I'm now up to 181.
