Went out birding with a couple of friends yesterday to near-by national wildlife refuge and a Missouri conservation area. We tallied a list of 83 birds (10 new year birds for my Missouri 2016 List)
Yellow Warbler, Common Yellowthroat, Northern Rough-winged Swallow, Peregrine Falcon (4), Black-necked Stilt, Prothonotary Warbler, Swainson's Thrush, Black-crowned Night-Heron, Solitary Sandpiper and Eared Grebe.

From the last couple of days on Öland:

276. Eurasian Woodcock
277. Eurasian Oystercatcher
278. Common Ringed Plover
279. Common House Martin
280. Red-breasted Merganser
281. Lesser Whitethroat
282. Sandwich Tern
283. Dunlin
284. Ruff
285. Ruddy Turnstone
286. Wood Sandpiper
287. Little Tern

Really filling in the gaps now of the easy stuff I missed due to a heavy workload earlier in the year. Spending most of the day outside looking for my study species helps too!

The Golden Plover and Sandwich Terns were also long overdue Swedish lifers

Plans scuppered by unexpected fog on the east coast today. Partly cloudy the forecast said - failed to mention that the clouds were at ground level.

159. Swift
160. Razorbill
161. Puffin
