Hundreds of Hawk Owls! (1 Viewer)

An attempt to upload one uncropped photo. Still computer armageddon at home but hopefully this will work. It is the Sibelius Park bird from Saturday 7th December.

All the best

Hi Paul (and everyone else). I would be very interested if/when you come up with a trip report. I'm definitely going to do a "hawk owl weekend" in February but not sure exactly where: either Sweden, Finland or Estonia (Estonia Nature Tours are offering "hawk owl special" weekend breaks!).

Vole and mice are numerous now in southern part of Finland. There are also lots of owls. It is likely that breedings will be early this year. This years spring is one month early and snow has melted already. It is well possible that some breeders are incubating already! Some of Hawk Owls are calling and some have been mating too. There are good chages of breedings also in southern part of Finland.
