Hi,

I'm planning a birding trip to Iceland in June this year. Due to an illness a guided tour group is my best option. Have any Icelandic locals or overseas birders done the 'Birdwatching in North East Iceland' tour which is booked through Icelandic Farm Holidays?

The tour seems to have a good itinerary and covers both land and pelagic species. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers,

Hi Darryl

While I don't have any experience of this tour itself, I know the area and it's arguably the best birding area in Iceland in late spring and early summer, close to Mývatn and also the whalewatching capital Húsavík (also good for birds). The itinerary looks good and you'll see the majority of Iceland's breeding birds on a trip like this.
