Hey guys, found a nest blown into the street after heavy winds, surprised to find a little one inside!

Can anyone assist with an ID so we know what kind of help to offer? Found in the Western Cape, South Africa.

He survived the night on a mixture of softened cat food and bird supplement guessing maybe finch related? But pretty stumped. Please help!

Hi Kaygrows

Welcome to Birdforum!

I can’t help with the ID of this little fella but if you can get it to a wildlife rehabber of vet that would be the best thing - it will need to avoid human imprinting and stay ‘wild’ to increase it’s chance of survival. A quick google found this organisation which may be able to offer you advice
