Wing spotting is usually brown in female and immature Blue Ground-Dovesand birds browner overall.
Why isn't this simply an immature (or female) Ruddy Ground-Dove, which is also more common by several magnitudes and fits perfectly colouration-wise.

Perhaps it is but primaries are clearly very dark. I thought only blue would show this much contrast

Edit: also such a marked eye ring I thought.
