Hi everyone and happy new year,

i would like to get some opinions on this female? flycatcher that i photographed back on August 2020 in northern Greece.

I do have an opinion but i am not certain at all, as these birds during autumn i find them very compicated.

Thank you in advance,

Giorgos

Looking at the extent of the white on the base of the primary feather I would say it was a Pied Flycatcher as it doesn't look extensive enough for Collared or Semi-collared. Also the median covert bar is poorly marked and not obvious as would be expected in Semi-collared.

Cheers

Roy
