A while ago I posted another picture for an ID. I was told that it was also a White-crowned Sparrow. However their heads look quite different to me. Also the 3 birds photographed on April 7th (above) looked bigger, probably 50% bigger. Here is the old picture. As you can see there is very little white on the head. Juvenile?

Judging the size of a lone bird is notoriously unreliable.

It's an immature bird, not a juvenile. Looks can be deceiving, all your birds were the same size.
