Identify this bird - UK (1 Viewer)

Hi,

Can anybody please identify this bird, photographed at Fleet Pond, N.E. Hampshire, this morning 8th January. My limited knowledge tells me it may be a sedge warbler?

It spent a long time eating on the side of the Pond, enjoying bits from the shrubs / reeds near to the waters edge.

It is a Reed Bunting.
Sedge Warblers should be in their wintering grounds nearer the Equator.

Looks like its eating great willow-herb seeds in your first picture - they'll also feed on common reed seed heads round about now, a time of the year when they justify their name of 'reed' bunting (normally you're more likely to see them in a bush, although often near water).
