Independent Birding Asia March 9-10 days (1 Viewer)

Hello! My husband and I have some time to do a birdwatching trip in March for 9-10 days. We have already visited Vietnam, Malaysia, and Japan and are looking for another destination that would match our time frame/time of year. In Japan we drove ourselves and in Malaysia and Vietnam we hired drivers to take us to and from each major birding spot pretty affordably. We are looking to do the same this time as we like to bird independently and guides tend to be quite expensive. However if there are great guides that people recommend, we are not opposed to considering it. So far, I was thinking either Northern or Central Thailand but we are open to any ideas :)

Depending on how much of Malaysia you did, you could consider Borneo (Sabah) as that is quite easy to do self-drive and superb for birding.
