Hello
just back from a mixed cultural and nature trip to India. Will post more info in a subsequent post, as managed 7/8 species of owl, depending on the outcome of this email! I also want to say that I met the most incredibly knowledgable guide at bharatpur, and if anyone is going to contact me for his details, as he is definitely the man there.
The guides all referred to these owls as Indian Collared Scops Owls, so I am unsure as to whether they are the Indian or the Collared Scops Owls in each case. If anyone is able to help I'd be grateful? btw I have a slightly clearer but more angled view of the Bandhavgarh owl if that would help.
thanks very much
