[QUOTE="brianfm, post: 1605519, member: 11997"] Thank you Pam and pie. Everyone was taken with the view 'up' the burn and a number of cameras came out. The sun was lighting the area through the high, but now autumnal thinning canopy and there was not the slightest whiff of breeze although the winds above the dene were blowing at near gale force. North Westerly winds so it wasn't cold. The only birds appearing to want to face the winds were corvids and pigeons. The atmosphere was never the less wonderful. The burn at this point is the deviding line betwen North Tyneside and Blyth Valley Councils. Today is calm with sun and blue skies. One of our memebr had found a Grey Plover on Newcastle Town Moor a couple of days before. A most unusual sighting I thought. I'm off to Lindisfarne with the group next week. We have had to seek places on the Durham Group coach so heavily are we subscribed. We are taken a coach load of 36 with at least another 9 or 10 on the other coach and a lady who lives localy is joining us by car. It's going to be an invasion! Fingers crossed for decent weather.
